Vietnamese Media Highlight Visit of Raul Castro

Newspapers, websites, radio and television still distribute on Monday pictures from the official reception at the Presidential Palace, with an honor guard composed of the three armed forces branches for this country.
The news agency VNA commented that the visit will implement the mechanisms agreed to in the Cuban-Vietnamese joint declaration signed in Havana during the visit of General Secretary of Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong.
VNA pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic relations in December 1960, Vietnam and Cuba have maintained and developed their relationship, consistent with the aspirations and revolutionary faith of their parties, States and peoples.

Tuo Troi, the Communist Youth publication, stressed that the Vietnamese people are always mindful that Cuba was the leader in the global movement to support Vietnam's struggle for independence, freedom and reunification in the past.
The newspaper People's Army mentioned Truong's visit to Cuba in April, and now Raul Castro's visit to Vietnam, as a "significant historical milestone" in the links between States and Peoples. It referred to President Raul Castro's words the day before, that despite the distance from one side to another of the Earth, Vietnam and Cuba have been in the past and still remain closely related.
The Vietnam News Bridge website notes that Vietnam is an important economic partner of Cuba.
Meanwhile, in its foreign broadcasts, the Voice of Vietnam spoke about Truong's conviction that President Raul Castro's presence will help improve friendly relations and traditional cooperation, "faithful and bright between the two parties."
